that was my first time to Malaysia. as you know, my country doesn't have many respect to that country. but trip still trip. i wanna explore that country even i only had a chance to explore Kuala Lumpur and Genting. ehmm by the way me, my auntie, my uncle and uncle's GF started to be a backpacker at that country. no more my mom that can pay our lunch, dinner, or our MRT card. oke we were not be real backpacker because we couldn't resist the desire for shopping.
first day, we actually arrived at Malaysia at 1am Malaysia's time. but it was still at Johor Baru. Johor Baru is the borderline between Singapore and Malaysia. because we used the direct bus from Singapore-Malaysia so we continued our journey to Kuala Lumpur after passing through the Malaysia's immigration and passports checking.we arrived at Kuala Lumpur around 5am. we didn't have map, our phone couldn't connect to internet because we still used Singapore sim card, we felt like we know nothing. didn't know where to go and even Sun had not risen. finally we found 7 eleven, so my uncle asked the cashier about the way to Bukit Bintang because we made a plan to stay there. the cashier said that Bukit Bintang not so far from there so he showed the way and we made a decision to walk. we walked around 1,5 kilos and finally we found Bukit Bintang street, but our guesthouse was at the street beside Bukit Bintang street, too bad i forget the name of that street. we felt really tired so we chose to take Taxi. but we had been lied to by the Taxi driver, we should pay 10 ringgit only for 500 M. we can found our guesthouse only about 5 minutes. so we checked in, and took a rest at our room. we made a plan to wake up about 7am because we should go to Genting that day. we decided to forget about tired and sleepy so we walked to the nearest LRT station and went to Pudaraya Station to buy the ticket to Hat Yai. after it we used LRT again to go to the bus station to go to genting around 8am. after arrived at the terminal, we directly booked the ticket bus to Genting. we arrived at Genting around 11.30am and we felt very stupid because it was really cold and we wore a short pants. only my aunt that wore a long jeans. so we decided to forget about how cold it was and bought the all theme park ticket (it's include indoor and outdoor park). we started to explore the outdoor park, but after played some games we felt very disappointed. the outdoor park was not as cool as we think. so we decided to try the indoor park. but same as there, we felt disappointed again. even we had the all park ticket, we couldn't tried some several games like ghost house. we should pay around 66 ringgit/games if we want to try the selected games. not a good marketing i think. i only love the weather at Genting. i don't love the theme park, for sure!
our plan for the second day at KL were go to twin tower, batu caves, and petaling street. we woke up early in the morning, caught some breakfast at guesthouse, and asked the receptionist about "how to go to twin tower". we went to the twin tower by the LRT. we started the day with a good thing because we could find twin tower easily. after took some pictures at twin tower and had a little conversation with some Indonesian tourists, we looked for a Taxi to take us to batu caves. my suggestion, beware with the state's Taxi because in my impressions, so many driver who would lie to you. so that time, we chose the monarchy's taxi. same price with the state's taxi but the car is more comfortable. we had a 30 minutes way from twin tower-batu caves. Batu caves is like a holy place for Hindu. so you will meet many Indian people. we took some pictures in front of the big Hindu statue, and we decided to up the stairs into the main caves. since i'm not a kind of people who love stairs, i had refused to go to the main caves. but it was a chance so i still up the stairs. even very slowly. Batu Caves is a recommended place i think. but the place isn't very well maintained.
after from Batu caves, according to our itinerary, we should go to petaling street. but we took some trouble about "how to go to petaling street from batu caves". some local people didn't answer our question about how to go to there. so we decided to walk around but nowhere. until we found a good Mr and he told us to take the nearest LRT. so we should walked back to the batu caves area and take the LRT. the journey from batu caves-petaling street took about 35 minutes by LRT so we could took a little rest and a little nap. and we went down at the Petaling station. but we were very amazed because the area is very lonely. after had asked to some people, we made a conclusion that we step down at the wrong station. it was Petaling village not Petaling street. so we should took the LRT again. petaling street is a china town area at KL. so many delicious but cheap food. i love its culinary spot. we didn't have many times at petaling street because we already tired. and it was already evening. so we decided to back to the guesthouse. around 8pm me and my auntie tried to walk from our guesthouse to BB plaza. that wasn't a big and local's fav mall i think. so we decided to back to the guesthouse and packed for our next trip. but before took a rest, we watched the manchaster united vs arsenal together with the other native at guesthouse's living room. it was very fun and my fav team was win ;) and i felt very ready for the next country!!!!
